The Stewards enquired into two incidents, the first shortly after leaving stalls involving Kasbah, ridden by S.M
Crosse, Distant Mirage (GB), ridden by R.P. Whelan, and Garryowen (GB), ridden by D.P. McDonogh, where it appeared Garryowen (GB) ran too free and Kasbah caught a heel and stumbled. The second incident took place in the straight and involved Yuften (GB), ridden by S.B. Kelly, Distant Mirage (GB) ridden by R.P. Whelan and Scream, ridden by S. Foley, where it appeared that Distant Mirage (GB) checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action.
