The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Secret Road, trained by Gerard Keane, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms.A. O'Keeffe, regarding Cillian McConnell, rider of Numoor (GB), placed second to weighing in 1.2Ibs light after this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had been to the toilet after he had weighed out and this in his opinion was the reason he weighed in light. Martin Fox, Authorised representative for John C McConnell, trainer, stated that he saddled the horse correctly having received it from the rider. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards under the previsions of Rule 231(i) disqualified Numoor (GB) from second place and noted the explantions of Martin Fox and Cillian McConnell
