The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Seeking Truth, trained by Michael G. Cleary, for failing to lodge the passport in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90 (i)
The Stewards interviewed S.B. Kelly, rider of Admirality (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that S.B. Kelly was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (c), in that he had used his whip unnecessarily after his mount had clearly won its race. Having considered his previous record in this regard, the Stewards cautioned S.B. Kelly on this occasion.
