L.F. Roche, rider of Formyboys trained by M.D. O'Callaghan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jinked right in the closing stages
C.D. Hayes, rider of Sable Camp trained by J.A.Stack, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check off heels
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Formyboys, ridden by L.F. Roche, unplaced, Sable Camp, ridden by C.D. Hayes, unplaced and Jm Barrie (GB), ridden by D.W. O'Connor, placed fifth, where it appeared that Sable Camp ran short of room and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference caused was accidental and they therefore took no further action
At the request of the Stewards, A.M. Glynn, rider of Agent Zero (FR), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was not able to quicken over todays shorter trip, having previously run over further
