The Stewards requested a report from John James Feane, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Hisnameis Mrdevitt, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that his charge disappointed on his previous run when drawn in one and was ridden forward after the break, he said his charge ran keen before running off the first bend and continued keen before tiring. He added that his charge was dropped out today and settled much better with the aid of a cross noseband and felt this, along with the application of a tongue tie had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form.
