Billy felt she travelled better on that ground, it was just a little bit gluey and horrible in Cork. I haven't her in anything but with the form she's in I probably won't delay with her. Evidently the trip wasn't a problem. It was a little bit of a question mark. Billy said he wasn't going to commit as early as he did. The Stewards enquired into the reason change in going, which was offered for the late withdrawal of Hyperdrive(Ire), trained by Mrs. John Harrington. Evidence was heard from Niall Amond, authorised representative of the trainer, who stated that Hyperdrive(Ire) was declared on heavy ground which had changed to heavy, soft in places by the close of card. He said the intended rider C. O'Donoghue had ridden in both the first and second race and was of the opinion that Hyperdrive(Ire) would be unsuited by ground that was now officially described as soft, heavy in places. Evidence was also heard from Mr. L. Wyer Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Clerk Of The Course, who described the ground conditions and agreed that a horse better suited to heavy ground may be inconvenienced. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards allowed the withdrawal and took no further action
The Stewards fined Luke Comer, trainer, ?65 for failing to fit a tongue tie to Mystique Heights (GB), prior to entering the parade ring.
