Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Little Jack (GB) had refused to race after the start had been effected and was deemed to be a runner.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Little Jack (GB), which had refused to race.
The Starter and Gary Hanmer were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
As the gelding had also refused to race at Uttoxeter on 18 December 2020 and Bangor-On-Dee on 17 April 2021, the matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run in, when the winner, Brummie Boys, ridden by Jonathan Burke interfered with Envol De La Cour (FR), placed second, ridden by Brendan Powell.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Brummie Boys (IRE), as the winner had come from behind and was going away at the finish to win by a head.
The interference was found to be accidental as Envol De La Cour (FR) hung left at the same time as Brummie Boys (IRE) shifted right as the running rail narrowed on the approach to the winning line.
The winner, Brummie Boys (IRE) appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 26 March 2021 where the gelding finished seventh of eleven, beaten by 42 lengths.
The explanation from the representative of Oliver Sherwood that Brummie Boys (IRE) was suited by a drop back in trip from 3 miles to 2 miles 4½ furlongs, and had settled better on this occasion was noted.
Brummie Boys (IRE) was routine tested.
