Permission was given for both Jumira Bridge (GB) and Another Angel (IRE) to go early to post.
The Raceday privilege request in relation to Jumira Bridge (GB), trained by Derek Shaw, was late being submitted.
Shaw was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all Raceday privilege requests are submitted before 1pm on the day before racing.
Fair And Square (GB), trained by Ron Harris did not enter the parade ring and went straight to post as instructed by the Clerk of the Course to prevent two-way traffic in the chute.
Coast (GB), drawn 7, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Elisha Whittington, the rider of Catesby (GB), drawn 6, was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in the gelding being slowly away.
Whittington’s explanation that the blindfold had become stuck underneath the bridle and did not release cleanly at the first attempt, thus requiring a second attempt to successfully remove it was noted.
Approximately 4½ furlongs out, a free running Yaahobby (IRE), placed third, shifted right-handed giving a hefty bump to Coast (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Yaahobby (IRE).
Following the race, Dale Swift reported that his saddle slipped on Gharbeyih (GB), unplaced.
