Permission was given for Pacopash (GB) to wear a red hood to the start, be mounted in the chute and to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Battle Point (IRE), ridden by William Carson and Sparked (GB), placed second, ridden by Pat Cosgrave.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Battle Point (IRE)’s placing as Sparked (GB)’s momentum was not affected and Battle Point (IRE) was always holding the second placed horse to win by a neck.
The interference was found to be accidental as Battle Point (IRE) lugged right-handed, despite the best efforts of its rider, taking Sparked (GB) marginally off its intended line.
Following the race, Paddy Bradley reported that I'm Mable (GB), unplaced, was slowly away and was denied a clear run approximately 1 ½ furlongs out and Liam Wright reported that Suanni (GB), unplaced, hung left- handed.
