George Bass, the rider of Mr Boson (GB), placed fifth, beaten a nose, had appeared to stop riding on the run to the line.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Bass was suspended for 2 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished fourth.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Lucidity (IRE), unplaced, lost it's right-fore shoe.
