Shortly after the start, Amber Dew (GB), placed second, lugged quickly left tightening Accacia (GB), unplaced, onto Twistaline (GB), unplaced, which was inconvenienced but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and it had not improved the placing of Amber Dew (GB).
Following the race, Ryan Moore reported that Amber Dew (GB) hung left throughout and Sean Levey reported that Kodias Sangarius (IRE) moved poorly in the early stages, and he felt it prudent to pull up, as he considered something may have gone amiss with the filly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Kodias Sangarius (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
