Upon leaving the stalls, Chillon Castle (GB), unplaced, jumped right-handed, hampering Jungle Bells (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference leaving the back straight involving Cherish (FR), placed eighth, ridden by Tom Marquand and At Your Service (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Joey Haynes.
William Carson, the rider of Aguerooo (IRE), placed sixth, was interviewed but found to have had no involvement in the incident.
Haynes was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to move left-handed to the rail when insufficiently clear of Cherish (FR), causing Marquand to take a significant check on the filly.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1½ furlongs out involving Rockesbury (GB), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris, Chillon Castle (GB), unplaced, ridden by Faye McManoman and Aguerooo (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by William Carson.
Carson was suspended for 4 days for improper riding as he angled his mount right-handed when upsides Chillon Castle (GB), giving the mare a significant bump, which caused it to become unbalanced and in turn bump with Rockesbury (GB) which was inconvenienced as a result.
Following the race, Charles Bishop reported that Jungle Bells (IRE), placed sixth, was denied a clear run inside the final furlong.
