The Stewards enquired into an incident turning out of the back straight involving Morph Speed, ridden by S.T
McCullagh, Take My Hand, ridden by G.F. Carroll, Is Fantastic, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Basrah Breeze, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, where it appeared interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, S.T
McCullagh stated that his mount has a very soft mouth and wears a rubber bit and overreacted when things got tight. J.M. Sheridan stated that the horse in front of him was going backwards caused him to sit and suffer for a few strides. G.F. Carroll stated that he was on the outside and suffered no interference. W.J. Lee stated that he kept his racing line throughout. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards did not apportion blame and took no further action
The Stewards informed Ciaran Murphy, trainer, that All The Mollies, would have to be recertified before being declared to run from stalls again. Furthermore, the Stewards informed the trainer that a repeat performance in the behaviour of his charge at the start, may render the animal liable to future suspension.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Samaritaine (GB), trained by John C
McConnell, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
