We have now though and this is local to us and to the owners so is great. She was up distance and down in grade today and probably handled the ground better than others. The Raceday Stewards interviewed John J Hanlon, Trainer, upon a request to substitue P. Hanlon for S. Cleary- Farrell as his intended mount was a non runner. John J Hanlon stated that originally P. Hanlon had been declared on a more fancied mount which became a non runner and he wished to switch him to his charge. The Raceday Stewards denied the request as it did not conform to the provisions of Regulation 3
J.G. Gilligan, rider of Mr McWhinny, trained by Paul John Gilligan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount made a mistake at the first hurdle in the back straight on the final circuit and was soon pulled up.
