We've had this horse since he was a foal and always liked him. He moved to Peter Fahey for a while but had a problem shortly after he got him. It wasn't Peter's fault but, anyway, Austin (Trappe) decided to send him back to us. He had a nice run at Fairyhouse a couple of years ago which I thought would give him a squeak in this. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Bossofthebus, trained by Terence O'Brien, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race
The Raceday Stewards interviewed J.P. Shinnick, rider, in relation to him crossing the parade ring when mounted prior to this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he had requested the person leading up the horse to cross the ring as he was unaware of the regulation and he apologised for his actions. Evidence was also heard from Michael Browne, Authorised Representative for the trainer concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that J. P. Shinnick was in breach of Regulation 16 and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards fined him one hundred euro on this occasion
