An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 1 ½ furlongs out when MARGARET’S FUCHSIA, placed second, ridden by Christian Howarth interfered with the winner, Silver Nightfall (GB), ridden by Billy Loughnane.
A BHA Jockey Coach was also present in the enquiry.
Howarth was cautioned for careless riding as he failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount from drifting right-handed, carrying Silver Nightfall (GB) off its intended line.
On the run to the line, the winner, Silver Nightfall (GB), hung quickly left-handed taking MARGARET’S FUCSHIA, placed second, off its intended line and in turn, causing the rider of Direct Hit (IRE), placed fourth, to have to take a check briefly, and then causing Violeta (IRE), placed third, to be taken off its intended line.
