Permission was given for Aquaman (IRE) to go early to post.
The Raceday privilege request in relation to Aquaman (IRE), trained by Roger Varian, was late being submitted.
Varian was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all Raceday privilege requests are submitted before 1pm on the day before racing.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving the winner, Master Zoffany (IRE), ridden by Paul Hanagan; Buxted Too (GB), placed fifth, ridden by William Buick; Bravado (FR), placed second, ridden by Franny Norton and Aquaman (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Andrea Atzeni.
The interference was found to be accidental as Buxted Too (GB) lugged quickly right-handed at the same time that Bravado (FR) edged left-handed which resulted in the winner, Master Zoffany (IRE), having to be checked and a free running Aquaman (IRE) being hampered.
The winner, Master Zoffany (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Redcar on 12 April 2021 where the gelding finished seventh of eight runners, beaten by 10¼ lengths on Good, Good to Firm in places going.
Richard Fahey explained that Master Zoffany (IRE) had appreciated the return to an easier surface, which was officially described as Good to Soft, Soft in places on this occasion.
His comments were noted and the gelding was routine tested.
