The performance of Great Khan (IRE), trained by Paul Henderson, which was pulled up, was considered in light of this being the fourth consecutive occasion that the gelding had failed to finish a race.
The trainer was interviewed during which he reported that Great Khan (IRE) had a respiratory issue and would most likely be retired.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Having heard the evidence, Henderson’s comments were forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
