The winner, Head To The Stars (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Wincanton on the 4th of February 2021 where the gelding was pulled up in a field of fourteen runners.
It was noted that Henry Daly could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form, other than the fact that Head To The Stars (GB) seemed to have its breathing confidence restored on this, its second run back after wind surgery.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, David Bass reported that Wandrin Star (IRE), which was pulled up, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
