Approaching the final furlong, Eagle Creek (IRE), placed second, drifted quickly left moving Shouldering (IRE), placed fifth, and French Rain (IRE), unplaced, slightly off their intended lines.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Eagle Creek (IRE).
Following the race, Paul Mulrennan reported that Woven (GB), unplaced, ran too freely in the early stages and then lugged left 1 furlong out and became caught on the heels of Shouldering (IRE).
