The Stewards interviewed A.W. Short, rider of Wolfofallstreets, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that A.W. Short was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using his whip with excessive frequency. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards cautioned A.W. Short on this occasion.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-116 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
