Inside the final 2 furlongs, Spanish Blaze (IRE), placed third, shifted quickly right-handed causing the rider of the winner, Double Jump (GB), to check momentarily, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Double Jump (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on the 21 July 2023 where the colt finished ninth of ten runners, beaten by 10 lengths.
Clive Cox’s explanation that Double Jump (GB) appeared to appreciate the Soft ground on this occasion was noted.
Following the race, Sean Levey reported that The Camden Colt (IRE), placed fifth, hung left-handed and Trevor Whelan reported that Spanish Blaze (IRE), which started joint second-favourite and finished third, shifted quickly right-handed away from the whip.
