At the final furlong marker, Thai Power (IRE), placed second, shifted marginally right-handed onto the winner Immortal Beloved (GB), which made contact with Gibraltar (IRE), placed fourth, causing its rider to momentarily ease and become caught on the heels of a weakening Camouflaged (IRE), placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Cieren Fallon reported that Gibraltar (IRE), placed fourth, was denied a clear run approaching the one-furlong marker.
