An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Sans Souci Bay (GB), which had been very reluctant to jump out of the stalls, before eventually refusing to race after a short distance.
Scott Dixon was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also refused to race at Southwell on 30 January 2020, Dixon was informed that any future similar behaviour from Sans Souci Bay (GB) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Josephine Gordon reported that The Game Of Life (GB), placed fourth, hung right throughout and Alistair Rawlinson reported that Lacan (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
