He was running so well it was hard to pull the plug on him as he kept getting graded placed. He'll probably run in the three mile Grade 1 at Punchestown, it's a novice race. O'Connell, rider of Allied Victory trained by M.F.Morris, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was struck into and was pulled up. R.C. Colgan, rider of The King Of Brega trained by Patrick Downey, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was never travelling and was pulled up. The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined The King Of Brega, trained by Patrick Downey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race. Patrick Downey, trainer of The King Of Brega, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge scoped clean post race.
An extended handicap hurdle for five yrs old and upwards that are E.B.F. eligible and have not won a hurdle race before 28th April, 2013 and have not run as a two or three yr old under any Rules of Racing and have not won a steeplechase Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race or hurdle races after calculation of the handicap shall carry any penalty or penalties which may be allotted by the Handicapper.
