The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Ms. Avena O'Keeffe, that S.P. Davis, rider of Tresorier (GB), had weighed in at 1.6lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he was riding at his minimum weight and had rehydrated after weighing out. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that S.P. Davis was in breach of Rule 231 by failing to draw the correct weight. Having taken his good previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended S.P. Davis for 1 raceday
Under the provisions of Rule 90 (iii), the Stewards allowed Julia's Magic, trained by Mrs Denise Foster, to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the horse was correctly vaccinated in accordance with Rule 91
