The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Dexter Tiger (FR), ridden by Mr M.J. O'Hare and Happie Days, ridden by S.F. O'Keeffe, where it appeared Dexter Tiger clipped heels, stumbled and unseated the rider. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.F. O'Keeffe stated that his mount attempted to run out and when corrected, the animal over reacted into the pathway of Dexter Tiger causing him to clip a heel. Mr. M.J. O'Hare confirmed this evidence. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanations offered and took no further action

An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven years old only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing Weights - 4-y-o 11st 11lbs ;5, 6 and 7-y-o 12st ;Mares allowed 7lbs ; Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under National Hunt Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) up to and including (6th November) may also ride in this race.
