Permission was given for Kingdom Come (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Entering the first bend, a free running Sir Busker (IRE), placed sixth, shifted right-handed bumping the hindquarters of Tacarib Bay (GB), unplaced, unbalancing that runner, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved and that it had not improved the placing of Sir Busker (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend involving Chasing Aphrodite (GB), unplaced, ridden by Hayley Turner and Tacarib Bay (GB), unplaced, ridden by Sean Levey.
Brandon Wilkie, the rider of Sir Busker (IRE), placed sixth, was interviewed, but found not to be involved.
Turner was suspended for 2 days for careless riding in that she allowed her mount to edge left-handed when insufficiently clear of a free running Tacarib Bay (GB) which was hampered when tightened for racing room over a number of strides.
Just inside the 1-furlong marker, Benacre (IRE), placed third, lugged quickly left-handed before being corrected by its rider, briefly inconveniencing Rainbow Fire (IRE), placed fifth, on the rail before a short distance later, Benacre (IRE) having been corrected by its rider, then shifted right-handed, making light contact with the winner, Kingdom Come (IRE), which was moved off its intended line and slightly impeded Smoky Mountain (IRE), unplaced.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that there was no riding offence involved, and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that KING’S CODE, placed fourth, was denied a clear run approaching 1-furlong out.
