FINAL(CLASS 1) (Grade 3) The Judge informed the Stewards that he wished to correct the original result of One For Rosie (GB), the winner, and Third Wind (GB), placed second.
Under Rule (B)62 the Stewards confirmed the correction and the revised placings of Third Wind (GB), the winner, and One For Rosie (GB), placed second.
Following an enquiry into the reasons for the correction a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
A stride before the winning line One For Rosie (GB), placed second, edged slightly right handed, despite the rider’s best efforts, causing Champagne Well (IRE), placed third, to have to take a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of One For Rosie (GB).
Following the race the Veterinary Officer reported that Smackwater Jack (IRE), unplaced, lost its right fore shoe.
Daryl Jacob reported that Muratello (FR), unplaced, was never travelling and Olly Murphy reported that Garrettstown (IRE), which was pulled up, was unsuited by the Soft, Heavy in places ground, and would prefer a faster surface.
