The Stewards enquired into an incident at about the 4 furlong marker involving Redstone Well, ridden by D.J Gilligan, Chaos Control, ridden by D. King, and Notforalongtime (GB), ridden by J.J.G. Ryan where it appeared contact was made between Redstone Well and Notforalongtime. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
D.J. Gilligan stated that he kept a straight line and did not receive any interference. D. King stated that he received a bump from his inside. J.J.G. Ryan stated that he got a bump from both sides. The Stewards interviewed C. Geerdharry, rider of Eighty Eight, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of the whip Regulation. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that C
Geerdharry was in breach of R10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record, they cautioned him on this occasion.
