Having lost it on the way to post, Temujin (IRE) ran without his right-fore shoe.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the first bend when Shifting Gold (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jack Dinsmore, interfered with Petits Fours (GB), placed eighth, ridden by Nicola Currie.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Dinsmore was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry, but declined.
Dinsmore was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for switching left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Currie to have to take a check.
Rounding the final bend Fame N Fortune (GB), placed fifth, edged right-handed taking SHAMKA (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line, which in turn caused it to take Shifting Gold (IRE), unplaced, off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Fame N Fortune (GB).
Following the race, Tom Marquand reported that the winner, Crystal Tribe (IRE), hung right-handed throughout, and the Veterinary Officer reported that colt had lost his left-fore and right-hind shoes.
Sean Davis reported that Seven For A Pound (USA), placed seventh, hung right-handed in the straight, and Theodore Ladd reported that Twpsyn (IRE), placed fourth, ran too free.
