The Clerk of the Scales reported that Oisin Murphy provided a sample which was found to contain alcohol above the threshold level for breath samples.
The rider, the Clerk of the Scales and the Sampling Officer were interviewed.
The matter was referred to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority and Murphy was suspended from riding for the rest of the day.
The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Cambric (GB), which had never previously been placed, was considered.
The representative of Roger Charlton was interviewed.
Their comments that Cambric (GB) benefitted from the step up in trip from 1 mile 2 furlongs to 1 mile 4 furlongs and the drop in grade from Class 4 to Class 6 were noted and the filly was routine tested.
Following the race, Silvestre de Sousa reported that Robert Fitzroy (IRE), placed sixth, was never travelling and Kieran O'Neill reported that Bonneville (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Sea Art (GB), placed second, lost its left fore shoe.
