Approaching ½ a furlong out as Kensington Art (GB), placed sixth, went for a legitimate gap at the same time as Tunky (GB), placed fifth, hung left, carrying Kensington Art (GB) onto Picture Poet (IRE), placed seventh, which in turn marginally shifted Amber Rock (USA), placed third, off its intended line.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Kensington Art (GB).
Following the race, Paul Mulrennan reported that Gold Arch (GB), placed second, stumbled twice in the first 2 furlongs and ran in snatches.
