Permission was given for Dove Divine (FR) to go early to post.
The Starter reported that Dove Divine (FR), trained by Lee Carter, had been very reluctant to load causing the race to be over 8 minutes late off.
Carter was informed that any future similar behaviour from the mare may result in her being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Having reviewed the start, the Stewards were satisfied that Deeds Not Words (IRE) was deemed to be a runner as it had reared after the start had been effected causing Aidan Keeley to be unseated.
Hy Eales (IRE), drawn 1, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Coming down the hill into the home straight, Bbob Alula (GB), placed fourth, had to be steadied as a result of the loose Deeds Not Words (IRE) running across the field.
As a consequence, Cativo Ragazzo (GB), placed eighth, was left short of room in between Dove Divine (FR), placed third, which had shifted right- handed and the winner, Thunderoad (GB), which had lugged left-handed.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of any runner.
Following the race, Connor Murtagh reported that Dove Divine (FR), placed third, was slowly away, and Ryan Tate reported that Hy Eales (IRE), unplaced, was hampered by the loose horse.
