Approaching 2½ furlongs out, Lets Go Lucky (GB), placed sixth, was dragged down from behind when Rock Warbler (IRE), placed third, galloped into the back of the filly, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Rock Warbler (IRE).
The performance of Lets Go Lucky (GB), which started second-favourite and finished sixth of eleven runners, was considered.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing, found that Lets Go Lucky (GB) had sustained wounds to both the right-hind cannon and left-hind cannon, and had also been struck into below the hock on its left-hind.
Phil McEntee reported that in his opinion, the injury sustained by the filly was significant, and arguably the reason she had failed to finish her race off after travelling well until when this incident occurred.
