The Stewards enquired into an incident on the uphill run approaching the straight involving One Cool Poet, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed first, Eadbhard, ridden by O.J. Orr, unplaced, High Street Lady, ridden by R.P. Whelan, unplaced and Navajo Ridge, ridden by James J. Doyle, placed fourth, where it appeared that High Street Lady met with interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that any interference was accidental in nature and they took no further action.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 50-80 Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
