Meghan Donovan, Authorised representative of Denis Gerard Hogan, trainer of Trevena (GB), reported at a Stewards enquiry that their charge was found to be in season post race A.J. Slattery, rider of Kastasa trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran around when under pressure in the closing stages of this race
The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. P.L. Malone, that J.M. Sheridan, rider of Trevena (GB), had weighed in at 1.1lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that his mount had sweated up and this was absorbed by the saddle pad. Evidence was also heard from Meghan Donovan, Authorised representative of D.G. Hogan, trainer of Travena (GB). Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.M. Sheridan was in breach of Rule 231(iii). Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended J.M. Sheridan for 2 racedays.
