Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Sam James, the rider of See My Baby Jive (GB) , drawn 1, was slow to remove the blindfold.
James' explanation that the blindfold became stuck on the bridle and took two attempts to remove it was noted.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final two furlongs involving The Grey Bay (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Harry Russell, and Orchid Rose (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Phil Dennis.
Russell was cautioned for careless riding for switching his mount right-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Dennis to have to take a slight check.
Approximately two furlongs out Aconcagua Mountain (IRE), placed fifth, edged right-handed at the same time as One More Dream (GB), unplaced, lugged left-handed, causing the pair to make contact and become briefly unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Aconcagua Mountain (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Karapiro (IRE), unplaced, had lost its right-hind shoe.
