Richard Johnson reported that Strong Pursuit (IRE), which started favourite and was pulled up, was never travelling.
Philip Hobbs reported that Strong Pursuit (IRE) jumped poorly.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Strong Pursuit (IRE) failed to reveal any abnormalitites, but that the gelding had lost its left fore shoe.
Following the race the Veterinary Officer reported that Marcilhac (FR), which was pulled up, lost its right hind shoe, ROCK MY SYTLE (IRE), which was pulled up, bled from the nose and Luckofthedraw (FR), which was pulled up, had post-race heat stress.
