Permission was given for both Ancient Times (GB) and Jack The Truth (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start and for Emperor Spirit (IRE) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
Leaving the stalls, Zero Carbon (FR), placed second, jumped sharply right-handed hampering Watchya (GB), unplaced, Swiss Ace (GB), unplaced, Cairn Gorm (GB), unplaced, and Tommy de Vito (GB), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Zero Carbon (FR).

After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The winner, Strike Red (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Ayr on 17 September 2022 where the gelding finished eighteenth of twenty-five, beaten by 11½ lengths.
It was noted that the representative of Richard Fahey could offer no explanation for Strike Red (IRE)’s improved form on this occasion.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Emperor Spirit (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished third, hung left-handed under pressure and the Veterinary Officer reported that Swiss Ace (GB), unplaced, finished lame on its right-fore.
