Owing to the low trajectory of the sun, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for hurdle number four to be omitted from this race
The Raceday Stewards enquired from P.J. O'Hanlon rider of Down The Park, who fell on the flat rounding the bend out of the back straight and R. Blackmore rider of Queen Jane, who appeared to suffer interference and was unseated. P.J. O'Hanlon stated that he was extending his mount down the hill when she took a false step and fell. R
Blackmore confirmed that she suffered interference from the faller and was unseated. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
