The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages of this race involving Garrybello (FR), ridden by M.J.M O'Sullivan, placed third, Park Of Kings, ridden by M.P. Walsh, unplaced, and Optional Mix, ridden by S. O'Callaghan, placed sixth, where it appeared Optional Mix edged out to make room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. M. J. M. O'Sullivan stated that he received a bump from his inside. M. P. Walsh stated that he received pressure from his inside. S. O'Callaghan stated that he moved out for room but straightened when he heard a shout. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that S. O'Callaghan, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) the Raceday Stewards suspended him for four racedays
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Park Of Kings, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
