She's been very good. Luck just didn't go her way but she's a right good mare and for the boys who own her she's worth a right few pounds now as a broodmare so it's worked out grand,. She's been promising to do that for an age. She loves that ground and that's what Colin said. She's in good order and you couldn't be happier with her. I'll have a chat to the owner now and see what he says but today was important. We were a long time waiting all year. She didn't get the rub of the green there but sure today was great and it's worked out well. I couldn't see her staying in training next year as they'll want to breed from her. I doubt it very much but I'll chat with Maurice and see what he says but I doubt it. To get today out of the way was the really important thing and we'll see were we go. Weld, trainer of Dabulena, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge lost her action coming down the hill between the four and three furlong markers The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Dabulena, trained by D. K. Weld, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have lost a left fore shoe but was otherwise post race normal.
