The Stewards enquired into an incident about five furlongs from the finish involving Noivado, ridden by K.J. Manning, unplaced and Holy Cat, ridden by S.P. Davis, unplaced, where it appeared that Holy Cat ran short of room while racing along the rails and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were unable to apportion blame and took no further action. Furthermore they reminded S.P. Davis concerning the accuracy of his evidence . S. Foley, rider of Elusive Beauty trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run in the straight. D.E. Sheehy, rider of Duchess Of France, trained by Adrian Paul Keatley, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jinked for no apparent reason before the turn into the straight.
