The Stewards interviewed Mr R.W. Barron, rider of Hopeforarun, trained by C.Byrnes, concerning his riding from the last bend to the line. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who stated that he thought he had finished sixth but a horse on the outside came and past him at the post. He accepted he had stopped riding and apologised for his misjudgement. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that Mr. R.W. Barron was in breach or Rule 212A(iv) and having considered his record, they suspended him for 2 racedays
The Stewards interviewed, Mr. J. Kelly Smith, rider of Cassarina Gold, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 10
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. J. Kelly Smith in breach of R 10.3 (g)(frequency) and having taken his previous record into account they cautioned him on this occasion
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Lady Stanwix trained by N.Stokes was coughing post race
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sunkist, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis
