As always with these fillies you start thinking of black-type but she's a long way from that, as are most of them at home at the minute but they are starting to turn a corner or we are starting to place them where they need to be. Gary is riding out of his skin. At this track you used to be able to ride a race but for the past few years if you get on the pace, even with a 50/1 shot, you can't get beat. I hope that's not the case because I love this track and hate seeing a bias like that. S. Foley, rider of Neowise (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount never picked up in the straight
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Neowise (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards interviewed R. Donaghue-Leahy, rider of Just Another Eagle, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. R. Donaghue-Leahy accepted she was in breach and apologised for her actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found R. Donaghue-Leahy in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and R.10.3(b)(unnecessary hitting a horse after its chance of winning or being placed are gone). Having considered her record in this regard, they cautioned her in respect of the breach of R10.3(i)and suspended her for one raceday in respect of the breach of R.10.3(b). She was accompanied at this enquiry by Mr. P. Flynn.
