The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Treasured Soul, trained by G.M.Lyons, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Dawn Session, ridden by R.P
Cleary, placed first, and New Phenomenon, ridden by S. Foley, placed second, where it appeared S. Foley had to check close to the line. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that his filly was running on late and he was unable to move outside R. P. Cleary because of other runners. He elected to go on the inside, but as there was insufficient room he had to check close to the line. R. P. Cleary stated that he felt he was running straight and was unaware of interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while S. Foley had to check close to the line there was no riding offence involved and therefore took no further action.
