Permission was given for Midnightattheoasis (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the end of the back straight when Caesars Pearl (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Pyle, interfered with Absolutelyflawless (GB), unplaced, ridden by John Fahy.
Pyle was cautioned for careless riding as he shifted his mount left-handed towards the rail without being fully clear of Absolutelyflawless (GB), causing Fahy to take a slight check.
Passing 4 furlongs out, a free-running YESTERDAY’S HERO (IRE), unplaced, was checked after running onto the heels of Absolutelyflawless (GB), unplaced, and shifted right-handed bumping Ultramarine (IRE), placed fifth, causing that gelding to make contact with the hindquarters of Midnightattheoasis (GB), unplaced, resulting in both Ultramarine (IRE) and Midnightattheoasis (GB) becoming unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 3½ furlongs out when Honour Your Dreams (FR), placed second, ridden by Kyle McHugh, interfered with Absolutelyflawless (GB), unplaced, ridden by John Fahy.
Being a 7lb claimer, McHugh was offered accompaniment but declined.
Harry Burns, the rider of Brazen Idol (GB), placed fourth, was also interviewed but deemed not to be involved.
McHugh was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left- handed to the rail when insufficiently clear of Absolutelyflawless (GB), causing Fahy to take a significant check to avoid his mounts heels.
Approaching the final furlong, Bright (IRE), placed third, lugged left-handed at the same time as the winner, Tyger Bay (GB), edged right-handed causing the rider of YESTERDAY’S HERO (IRE), unplaced, to take a precautionary check when short of room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Tyger Bay (GB).
Inside the final furlong a weakening Level Up (IRE), unplaced, lugged slightly right-handed as the winner, Tyger Bay (GB), shifted left-handed causing Absolutelyflawless (GB), unplaced, to be checked after running out of racing room, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Tyger Bay (GB).
Following the race, Callum Hutchinson reported that Bright (IRE), placed third, was slowly away, John Fahy reported that Absolutelyflawless (GB), unplaced, suffered interference in running on several occasions and William Pyle reported that Caesars Pearl (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
