Red Sparrow (GB) kicked out and made contact with the rails at the start but after being checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, was deemed fit to race.
Inside the final furlong, Spreadsheet (IRE), placed fourth, lugged left and right-handed away from the whip before being corrected by Charlie Bennett, and, on the run to the line, Bennett struck Navajo Dawn (IRE), placed third, once over the nose with the whip but after viewing a recording of the incident it was considered to be accidental.
The winner, Purbeck Hills (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kempton on 14 April 2021, where the gelding finished eleventh of 12, beaten by 5 lengths.
John Gallagher's explanation that Purbeck Hills (IRE) was suited by a return to running over 6 furlongs was noted; the gelding was routine tested.
