The Veterinary Officer reported that The King's Steed (GB), trained by Shaun Lycett, had arrived on course with vaccinations that did not comply with the British Horseracing Authority’s emergency measures.
The gelding was withdrawn by the Stewards.
Permission was given for Mansfield (GB) to go early to post.
Following the race, Laura Coughlan reported that Rockesbury (GB), placed sixth, stumbled leaving the stalls, Joshua Bryan reported that Shamlan (IRE), unplaced, was slowly into stride and never travelling and David Egan reported that Energia Flavio (BRZ), placed fifth, hung left-handed in the home straight.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the winner, My Town Chicago (USA), during routine testing, revealed the gelding had lost its left hind shoe.
